Evaluation of different grades of Estehban dried figs (Iran)

Iranian dried figs with export quality are one of the prominent and prominent dried fruit items in the field of international food trade and are in great demand. Some countries recognize it as a medicinal substance and use this product in their pharmaceutical industry. Iran is also one of the countries that produce figs, which has its own buyers in the world due to the fact that it is mostly produced in the dry season in the country. Types of dried figs:

Exported figs are classified into the following types:

Dried fig grade 101 (AAA):

It is the most expensive type of dried fig, which contains seeds with light color (white and yellow) and relatively large size (larger than 24 mm), and the dried fig seeds in this type are completely open and without small and dark colored seeds.

Dried fig grade 101 (AA):

Grade 101 (AA) dried figs contain light-colored seeds (white and yellow) and average coarse size of 22 mm. In this type, dried fig seeds have maximum 90% open mouth and maximum 4% dark colored seeds.

Dried fig grade 101 (A):

Grade 101 (A) dried figs contain light colored seeds (white and yellow) and size between 14 and 22 mm. In this type, dried fig seeds have at least 25% open mouth and maximum 15% dark colored seeds.

Grade dried figs (AA):

Grade (AA) dried figs contain light-colored seeds (white and yellow) and an average size of 20 mm. In this type, dried fig seeds have at least 45% open mouth and maximum 4% dark colored seeds.

Dried figs (A):

Grade (A) dried figs contain yellow and brown seeds with an average size of 20 mm. In this type, most of the dried fig seeds have closed mouths and at least 25% open mouths.

dried figs (B):

Grade (B) dried figs contain brown and gray seeds with an average size of 14 mm. In this type, most of the dried fig seeds have closed mouths and at least 3% open mouths.

Pressed figs (A):

Grade (A) pressed figs include moist fig seeds that are pressed into tablets by the machine and have a light color, which are available in 250, 400, and 500 gram packages.

Pressed figs (B):

Grade (B) pressed figs contain wet fig seeds that are pressed into tablets by the machine and have a darker color than grade A, which is available in 250, 400, and 500 gram packages.
