Walnuts are the fruit of trees of the Juglans family (Juglandaceae family). Iranian or English walnut known as Juglans regia.
Walnut is a seeded, round, single-seeded fruit from the walnut tree and is usually used after it is fully ripe. After the fruit is fully ripe and its green skin is removed, the wrinkled wooden skin of the walnut can be seen. The shell of a walnut is usually two pieces. There are often three- or four-piece skins . The bark encloses the walnut kernel, which is usually divided into two halves and separated by a partition. Usually available as a nut, the walnut is enclosed in a thin brown shell. This thin skin contains antioxidants. Walnut skin contains antioxidants from oil seeds, protects against oxygen in the air and prevents the walnut from rotting.
Uses of walnut kernels
Walnut kernels are consumed raw (uncooked). Gardura can be used alone or together with other nuts such as almonds, pistachios, hazelnuts, etc. . Walnut kernel is a dried fruit.
